TONIGHT: Candidates for NYC office participate in animal welfare panel
Reproduced from a League of Humane Voters email alert:
TONIGHT, meet the candidates running to be New York City’s next Mayor, Public Advocate and Comptroller, as well as Manhattan’s next District Attorney. The candidates will appear at a groundbreaking forum organized by the New York League of Humane Voters and will answer your questions about animal welfare issues.
There’s never been an event like this before in NYC history. It’s the first time citywide candidates in NYC have so publicly addressed animal protection during the campaign. This is an incredible opportunity to make animal protection issues part of the mainstream political discourse. Let’s make the room flood over with animal advocates! With your help, this will be an event (and an issue) the candidates won’t soon forget! Bring a friend or two!
