I’m sure you consider yourself to be a good person. I’m sure we could get along personally. But good intentions and politeness do not a good person make.
Do not apologize to me or my fellow vegans. Do not apologize to ducks. Don’t even apologize to the duck you’re eating, because here’s the thing: It’s dead. It’s life has been taken from it. You killed it, or you paid somebody else to kill it. Just so you could eat the “nice bits.”
Apologies are like prayers — ways to feel like you’re helping without actually doing anything. Apologies don’t cut it. Instead, why not do the right thing — stop eating fellow animals. While you’re at it, why not stop wearing them, if that’s something you currently do. Please see the sidebar for links to information and resources for going vegan.
