Researchers and close observers have long known that octopuses are intelligent and psychologically sensitive creatures with unique personalities. Now they’ve been captured on camera “using tools” — in this case, wrenching half-buried, human-discarded coconut shells from the sandy ocean floor to create spherical shelters.
