Look, it really is so simple. Anyone (with half a brain cell in their prefrontal cortex) can and should understand exactly what happened. Anyone can and should have seen it coming. Yet so few of us did, and the many that didn’t will retain their power and influence.
The next time someone refers to humans as eminently intelligent animals, please forgive me if I throw up a little in my mouth.
