therecipe: They also had a mountain lion. Jessica was watching her friends baby, and the mountain lion was just pacing back and forth and staring at her. The guide said that she wanted to eat the baby; that mountain lions will go after the smallest prey. It was amazing and just crazy to see. I just felt a ‘matter of fact’ type feeling. This baby is awesome, cute, and meaningful herself but the lion would of just eaten her in one second. Nature is crazy.
deepwithfuture: Later we were outside and we looked up towards her enclosure…she was staring at the baby still and from that far away. We didn’t even know she was there.
I would think it’s the same nature that makes us think of human babies as “awesome, cute, and meaningful.”
Update: Meant to say it before, but what a beautiful creature. How anyone can cage fellow animals is beyond me.
